The Person Behind HoneyBusiness

Hitesh Lakhani

Most of us are never taught how to make life's biggest decisions.

We learn mathematics in school, but not how to manage money. We build careers, but rarely learn how to protect our energy. We form relationships, yet few of us are taught how to nurture them. We work hard every day, but practical guidance for building a meaningful life is surprisingly difficult to find.

I know this because I have lived that journey myself.

My journey began as a computer operator in 1995. Over the years, I worked across accounting, finance, inventory management and business operations. Those experiences eventually took me to Africa, where I spent nearly a decade working with businesses, financial systems and people from different cultures. Every role taught me new skills, but more importantly, it taught me how people think, work, struggle and grow. No matter where I was, one lesson appeared again and again.

People did not struggle because they lacked intelligence or willingness to work.

They struggled because they lacked clarity.

I saw hardworking families earning well but still feeling financially insecure. Business owners surrounded by reports yet uncertain about their next decision. Professionals sacrificing their health while building successful careers. Families spending less time together despite working harder than ever. Relationships weakened not because people cared less, but because life became busier and more complicated.

The more I observed, the more I realised that information was not the problem.

The world does not need more information.
It needs more understanding.

Information fills our minds.
Understanding changes our decisions.
Better decisions change lives.

That realisation became the foundation of HoneyBusiness.

I didn't create HoneyBusiness to sell books or software.

I created HoneyBusiness to build the kind of place I wish had existed earlier in my own life, a place where people could discover practical knowledge, gain clarity and make better decisions with confidence.
